About
Hello, my name is Cheryl Edmunds.
I am a mixed media artist who has been connected to creativity for as long as I can remember. My artistic journey spans more than 40 years and combines my love of painting, typography, and photography.
During the pandemic, I found my way back to art as a way of relieving stress and finding calm in the chaos. Before long, I realized that art had become my daily meditation—a space where I could breathe, reflect, and reconnect.
My work blends richly, textured prints created on a gelli plate with bold patterns and marks, and often asemic writing—illegible scribble that hide affirmations, scriptures, or quotes. I enjoy creating complex, multi-layered collages that tell a story and create art that feels deeply personal and, hopefully, uplifting to others. Each layer adds its own rhythm and emotion to my work, shaping a style that’s vibrant, textured, and full of heart.
One of my biggest inspirations is my 100-year-old aunt, Edith Edmunds—a quilter, author, and presenter who started her business journey in 2024. She’s living proof that it’s never too late to follow your passion, embrace your gifts, and create the life you imagine. Inspired by her, I love sharing that same message with other seniors—helping them discover joy, wellness, and possibility through creativity at any age.
Before diving fully into my art practice, I spent over 20 years in interior design and home staging. That experience gave me a sharp eye for color, balance, and detail—qualities that continue to influence everything I create today.
